Virginia has a lot of award winning wines that have garnered acclaim throughout the years at
competitions all over the globe. This is one of those award winners. Left Bank Red is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based red blend from one of the state’s oldest and pioneering wineries - Ingleside Vineyards in the Northern Neck in our Eastern Shore wine region.
Their 2021 is the Gold winner from the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competition and is inspired by the Left Bank wines of Bordeaux.
I love the soft tannins of this wine, yet smokey vibes. It can easily be enjoyed alone with a good Lifetime movie (my preference lol) or with a meal. I think paired with homemade pizza night would be a perfect combination.
This was only my second time visiting Ingleside. I was encouraged to return recently for the Virginia Wine Love weekend in May. Thanks to the Virginia Wine Women and Virginia Wine Love for organizing such a wonderful weekend celebrating Virginia wines. I wanted to visit a region I don't get to that often and enjoy some of the wonderful wines found in this area and especially at the award winning Ingleside Vineyards.
Read my last post to learn more about Virginia Wine Love and their recent state-wide meet-up weekend.
