Virginia has no shortage of standout wineries, but every now and then a new addition arrives that truly shifts the landscape. Petit Domaine Sparkling Winery & Estate in Loudoun County's Hillsboro, Virginia is exactly that, a first-of-its-kind sparkling-focused winery in the state, dedicated entirely to crafting elegant, traditional-method bubbles. As someone who has spent nearly two decades exploring (and celebrating!) Virginia wine, my recent visit to this new sparkling winery & estate in Virginia felt both exciting and a little emotional.

Our standard tasting included three beautiful wines:

• Brut

• Blanc de Blancs

• Sparkling Rosé
  

Each one was remarkably delicate, with soft, refined bubbles that carried layers of flavor. Honestly, I could have sipped on these all afternoon.

Space Designed for Celebrating Wine

Petit Domaine’s tasting room is lovely and elegant without being pretentious. The staff were all extremely welcoming and gave everyone the VIP treatment. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s the kind of place you can settle into for a leisurely flight or linger over a bottle with friends. Reservations are highly recommended.

Bittersweet Return to a Beloved Virginia Winery Tasting Room

For longtime Virginia wine lovers, this property holds history. I’ve visited this spot for years, back when it was home to Crushed Cellars—a favorite not just for me, but for so many friends and fellow wine enthusiasts across the state. Returning brought a bit of nostalgia. It was a reminder that all good things come to an end, but those endings can make way for beautiful new beginnings.

Petit Domaine brings fresh energy, new craftsmanship, and a sparkling-forward identity that adds something truly special to Loudoun’s wine scene. While I’ll always hold fond memories of Crushed Cellars, I’m genuinely thrilled to watch Petit Domaine grow and thrive.
